Madeira’s Car-Boot sale is modelled on the British Car-Boot sale and is open to all private sellers. Locally known as ‘Feira da Amizade’ (friendship fair), it is a place where anybody can sell their wares to the public.
What can I sell?
You can sell anything that is legal!
As with most car-boot sales we expect most items to be second hand. We do encourage diversity and welcome any ‘Booters’ that operate cottage industries. Arts, crafts, home made jams, woodwork, embroidery, jewellery to name but a few. Commercial vendors can join us but only with a car and a table.
For all the items that will not be allowed for sale, see the list opposite. If you are in any doubt, leave it out! Contact the organisers beforehand, or talk to us on the day to clarify your product’s eligibility.
What can I buy?
Visitors have an opportunity to browse and barter for bits and bargains in this bizarre bazaar. British ex-pats standing side by side with Madeiran locals selling things you might never see again in a lifetime!
As with all Car-boot sales, from time to time there will be rare and valuable items that pass hands for peanuts, the only question is.. will they be passed to you?mailto:tshirtuk@mac.com?subject=Car-boot%20queryshapeimage_16_link_0
